Marketing for a global energy leader

Innovation continues at EATON, one of the world leaders in electrical and hydraulic energy. CVS Marketing accompanies the launch in France of the latest range of Fire Safety Systems to the Distributor Partners. A review of a successful collaboration with the client’s teams.

Background :

Gap in resources for marketing project management

France not yet in lockdown, mid-February 2020, the Irish headquarters of this global group contacts us via our web form. In less than 24 hours, a telephone interview is organized with the Marketing Department based in Ireland.

The objective of this meeting is to frame a fixed-price mission with specific deliverables for the launch on the French market of a range of attack-intrusion warning devices that are now compulsory within ERP in France as part of the Plan Particulier de Mise en Sûreté (PPMS).

The specificity of this project is to adapt this new range of fire safety products to the French market, taking into account the recent French regulations. Among other things, all the marketing documentation for the sales force and resellers had to be adapted before the products were launched.

The Customer’s request is both :

The issue :

Launch the range before the PPMS installation work in schools closed for the summer

The challenge is to provide sales representatives, resellers and their installer customers with all the information they need to market the products before summer 2020.

An important commercial objective is set by the Management for the sale of these PPMS alarm systems to a target of retailers (SONEPAR, REXEL…) themselves distributors of SSI installers. The installation work must be carried out with minimal disruption to school time, during the summer vacations. All schools under 200m² in France, i.e. the vast majority, are concerned. To date, less than 50 % of them are equipped with PPMS (compulsory) intruder alarm systems.

The solution :

Value proposition and declination on various supports by CVS Marketing

CVS Marketing ensured the formalization of the value proposition for the French market and its implementation on a few channels :

CVS Marketing provided project management, conference calls with client team members and validation with the Group. The benefits to EATON :

The + for the Customer

For this very satisfied customer, CVS Marketing is proud to have accompanied a second product launch in November 2020. This product, an operating repeater board, in charge of reporting the status of the fire safety system in ERP (Hospitals, EHPAD…), is now starting to be marketed in France. A presentation video has been created for the occasion, as well as digital commercial supports. Good sales to this specialist in the service of the safety of people and goods.

Explanatory video for a global energy leader

EATON renews its confidence in CVS Marketing for the launch on the French market of its new Operating Repeater Board, the TRE Replica Touch. The opportunity to reveal through a product launch video all the aestheticism, the simplicity of use and the user-friendliness of the system.

Background :

Willingness to demonstrate visually and in real time the capabilities of the system

For the launch of its TRE Replica Touch, EATON was ready with a serious, proven and efficient process : technical data sheet, sales pitch, product web pages, distributor training, demo cases etc. Yes, but…

At EATON, we are aware that purchasing behaviors are changing and that offering excellent products remains a necessity. But communicating well has become a source of differentiation with the rise of social networks like LinkedIN.

The issue :

To create a new emotion for the SSI Distributors and their Installer Customers

The challenge is to create a technological breakthrough with the TRE Replica Touch by positioning it as a major innovation in the field of Fire Safety Systems. Beyond words, EATON wishes to demonstrate the capabilities of the product through an explanatory video… and create a buzz !

The Customer’s request is both :

The solution :

Storyboard and step-by-step video explaining benefits and features

CVS Marketing managed the project from start to finish on time and to the EATON Group charter.

The advantages for EATON :

New name for the Smart subsidiary of a major construction company

Spie Batignolles, an independent French construction group, chose CVS Marketing’s marketing consulting services to finalize the commercial name of its new instrumentation and measurement brand serving the smart city, connected buildings and a sustainable environment for all.

Background :

Emergence of Smart markets and desire to pool IoT expertise within the group

In mid-April 2021, Spie Batignolles, an independent group and a major player in the building, infrastructure and services sector, contacts us via our web form. In less than 12 hours, a telephone interview is organized with the Development & Innovation Department.

The objective of this meeting is to quickly propose a structured, 360° support system for the naming of a new commercial brand dedicated to the Smart markets.

The specificity of this project is to solicit the opinions of the various internal stakeholders, while proposing an animation and a framing of the reflection which make it possible to quickly arrive at a name satisfactory for all.

The issue :

Respond early to Smart markets on this brand to capture opportunities

The challenge is to quickly have a commercial brand with the following prerequisites :

  • cohérente avec les autres marques du Groupe et trait d’union entre les marques existantes,
  • explicite pour le marché des solutions connectées, du technique à l’inspirationnel,
  • Transverse for the targeted markets.

    The solution :

Naming workshop with the management, internal survey, restitution and short-list by CVS Marketing

CVS Marketing proposed, implemented and monitored the following process :

CVS Marketing managed the project in collaboration with Spie Batignolles’ management and the management of the entity concerned. The advantages for Spie batignolles :
